“Dark Horse” tackles the underrated and overlooked in Philippine sports. The third and final part of the Philippine Underwater Hockey series reveals THE GOAL of including the sport in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Arguably the best in Southeast Asia, the Philippine Underwater Hockey Team is currently campaigning for the inclusion of underwater hockey in SEA Games, starting 2019, with their home country as host. Despite the continuous growth of underwater hockey internationally, the local scene is a different story. This has led the Philippine Underwater Hockey Confederation (PUHC) to amp up their regular training, competing, and recruitment.
At the moment, the PUHC is still in talks with the international federation and several Southeast Asian member countries.
