Before the grand coronation night on Sunday, March 18, some of the Binibini 2018 candidates shared how they have been preparing for the competition, particularly on keeping themselves physically fit.
The ladies—Sophia Baino (Batangas), Anjame Magbitang (Bulacan), Michelle Gumabao (Quezon City), Aubrey Asuncion (Albay), Loren Artajos (Ilocos Sur), and Ena Velasco (Cebu)—seem to practice two things in common: eat right and exercise well.
Getting enough sleep and keeping oneself hydrated are also a must for the binibinis.
These tips are also included on Rosantonette Mendoza’s (Mandaluyong City) preparations, but what makes her story a little more interesting is her #BilbilintoBinibini journey.
Mendoza used to be 200 pounds, and now she inspires people with her transformation.
“Less sugar, less salt, and most importantly, do not deprive yourself. You got to have at least one cheat day in a week,” she said.
In what she tagged as a lengthy post on Facebook, Mendoza said that goals are achieved through hard work.
“So para sa mga matataba, dating mataba, feeling mataba, dun sa gustong tumaba, at sa malapit nang tumaba — you are beautiful. Just be yourself. At the end of the day, it is still what’s in your heart that matters,” she concluded.
On Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, 40 ladies across the country are vying for the six titles at stake.
