The National University Pep Squad successfully made its ‘comebark!’
The National University Pep Squad regained the championship they rightfully deserve after pulling off a flawless routine in the 2018 Cheerdance competition, held earlier today, at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay.
Inspired by the award-winning animated fantasy, Coco, the Bulldogs’ Dia de los Muertos-themed (Day of the Dead) performance tallied a total of 711 points, with no penalty and deduction.
This is NU’s fifth title in the last six years.
Far Eastern University Cheering Squad also made a comeback in the podium as it finished second place with a total of 655.5 points. The Morayta-based squad delivered a funky performance inspired by the 70’s music.

The UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe, meanwhile, bagged the Special Award for Best Toss and placed fourth. The Tigers are also just .5 away from making it to the podium with its Beyonce-themed performance that scored 638 points.
