When People magazine declared Chris Hemsworth as the sexiest man alive on its 2014 year-ender issue, the announcement came with no contention. It was, oblivious of People’s criteria, deemed as a fact by the readers more than a subjective choice of the editorial team.
Years after and Hemsworth, a father of three with wife Elsa Pataky, can still give younger Hollywood actors a run for their money. After all, Hemsworth remains as one among a few rightful humans to portray a godly role; in 2011, he was cast by Marvel Studios as the Asgardian god, Thor.
Blessed with a double helix of Herculean genes, Hemsworth goes above and beyond his movie character. In real life, in comparison to average-gym-buff-joe, Hemsworth seems to possess superhuman strength. A quick inspection of his social media profiles would leave one awestruck; whether you see him pulling weights or doing regular cardio, he does it as if shooting fish in a barrel.
Just recently, on his endless pursuit to live healthy and inspire others to follow the same endeavour, Hemsworth has launched a fitness and wellness app to push the human body to its limits. Called the ‘Centr, by Chris Hemsworth,’ the app aims to transform its user from ‘human being to a human doing.’
The exercises are ideally done at home with minimal or no equipment involved, as instructed by world-class trainers and well-being experts. Either you want to bulk up or slim down, the app’s offerings of various workout programs—including high-intensity interval training, boxing, yoga, strength training, and mixed martial arts among others—are guaranteed to improve the physique, regardless of one’s fitness level (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
For those who are not into rigorously aggressive training, Centr also provides guided meditations to calm the mind, boost confidence, and relieve stress for better performance.
In the app store, Hemsworth is quoted to have said that people’s potentials and goals are better achieved with a good support system, which Centr can provide: “Centr puts the world’s best in the palm of your hand, to help you develop a healthier body, stronger mind, and a happier life.”
Aside from the workout routines, the app also comes with science-based meal plans from world-renowned chefs to provide factual nutritional information.
With its holistic approach, and a tagline that says ‘Train, Eat, Live Better,’ Centr by Chris Hemsworth is an easy favorite of fitness enthusiasts and professionals. And while the app may not exactly transform your body into a Thor-like form, it definitely will bring out the best version of you.
Hemsworth put it aptly, “We’re all different, but with one inherent power in common: a choice to be a work in progress.”
