She used to cheer for the University of Santo Tomas community as a former member of the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe. Today, Carla Piscoso is even more empowered to champion others by being an advocate for active lifestyle.
Prior to her cheerleading stint—which introduced her to jazz, folk dance, and ballet, among other dynamics of dancing—Carla has shown interest in hip-hop back in high school. Later in college, this morena beauty was exposed to more physical activities involved during training, such as cardio exercises, toning, gymnastics, lifting, and stunts.
Earning her pre-med degree in Biology did not impede her to still pursue fitness. Now at 25, Carla currently is an instructor at Beyond Yoga Rockwell, and Saddle Row. She is also one of the Flex Sisters who initiated FlexFit PH, an all-women fitness community that aims to innovate the industry for female enthusiasts.
With her innate sense of adventure—whose favorite recreations include spinning, surfing, interval training, resistance training, and cycling, among others—Carla now owns and operates FitPlay PH and FitStreet, service-oriented companies that organize, facilitate, and offer athletic programs and events.
Here on MBody’s #FitnessFastTalk, Carla tells us how she intends to live the same lifestyle in summer.
How have you been preparing for summer?
I try to eat clean and workout as much as I can while trying to have enough rest of course!
Do you follow a specific diet plan to help you achieve your goals? Tell us about it.
I don’t really follow a specific diet plan but recently, I’ve been more conscious of my diet. I try to eat clean and live green!
What specific workout routines do you do the most to achieve a summer-ready body?
Cross training, I like mixing things up!
With all these summer preparations, what are your plans for the season?
Travel. Work. And more travels.
