The unico hijo of a celebrity couple, and a brother to his strikingly alluring sisters—one of whom is prominent volleyball athlete and beauty queen Michele—Marco Gumabao’s fine looks attest that good genes run in the family.
As if his facial features, his jawline most remarkably, are not attractive enough, Gumabao has also worked his way to achieve his physique that transformed him into a sexy actor. Who would have thought that the chubby teenager from the Luv U series back in 2012 is now among the hunky Cardinal brothers of ABS-CBN’s afternoon soap Los Bastardos?
He has since willingly accepted more mature roles, and flaunted himself topless on several magazine covers. In an interview with Garage, the 23-year old actor shares his aspiration to be known not only as a daring actor, but also as a fitness enthusiast.
“I want to be known as [someone na] mahilig mag-work out, mahilig maging healthy,” he says.
In the same interview, having been asked about something he can’t live his day without, he responds: “[…] being productive. I don’t want the day to end na feeling ko wala akong ginawa.” Much to this mindset, Gumabao competes to no one but himself. In an Instagram post, he captions: “Look in the mirror, that’s your competition.”
Aside from his workout routines that mainly focus on bodybuilding, Gumabao has also engaged himself with Muay Thai sessions, and regularly plays basketball. Coupled with healthy eating habits, Gumabao needs no further validation: he already is a fitness enthusiast.
Here, MBody compiles his top fitness posts that we can mentally tack to our #BodyGoal inspiration board.
